Breaking Down
Board Breaking
Breaking (Gyeokpa), in the simplest of terms, is the collision of a body part with a target using enough force to split the target into two or more pieces. When a board is hit, it will start to flex at the point of impact. This flexing compresses
the impacted side of the board and stretches the opposite side. If this stretch is enough to pull apart the fibers in the board, it will split.
