Grandmaster Pyung Soo Kim


Pyung Soo Kim, a third generation Korean martial arts master, came to the U.S. in 1968 with a burning desire to share his knowledge with people all over the world. He created his own system: Chayon Ryu Martial Arts which he has been teaching for more than 50 years.

Demonstration Teams


Demonstrations “create an interest” in the viewing audience and public. Demonstrators performing overseas are acting as cultural ambassadors and they provide opportunities for the Korean pioneers to teach abroad. They help “spread Taekwon-Do to the world.” They also help foster friendly relations between countries..

The Gift of a Grandmaster


Training under a grandmaster, like the late Richard Chun, that is an acknowledged source of traditional skills is akin to being in possession of the original copy, or one twice removed, of an important document displaying clear and concise print.
