HOONLYUN Feature

He-Young Kimm Grandmaster, Martial Arts Pioneer, and Perpetual Student

I chose to pursue a greater knowledge of traditional Korean martial arts. With my previous experience, I was able to create the ‘Han Mu Do’ system and watch it grow and spread throughout the world and be practiced in many countries.

Grandmaster Richard Chun

Five Years Gone— The Legacy Continues

To have known Grandmaster Chun closely was to know the true heart of taekwondo. Each practitioner who came in contact with him was christened by his wisdom often feeling as if they were the only student ever in his charge. This was one of his most remarkable virtues.

Discipleship

The Act of Maintaining a True Legend’s Legacy

When I began my training with Supreme Master Bok Man Kim in 1988 at the age of 11, I had no idea that this decision would completely shape the rest of my life. Master Kim immediately took a liking to me and always told my grandfather, “Don’t worry, I will take care of Brad. He is my grandson too!”
